Dr Cara Jefferies

General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Cara Jefferies is an experienced General Practitioner at Sinnamon Park Medical Centre, with more than two decades of experience caring for individuals and families across all stages of life. She is known for her long-term, relationship-based approach to care and values the continuity that general practice offers.

Over her career, Dr Jefferies has supported women through pregnancy, cared for babies and children as they grow, and looked after multiple generations within the same family. She considers it both a privilege and an honour to be involved in her patients’ lives –through moments of joy, challenge, and everything in between – and takes great pride in the trust placed in her as a family doctor.

Dr Jefferies holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Queensland (2002) and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2007. Her training included time as an intern and junior house officer at Ipswich Hospital, followed by GP registrar roles at Childer’s General Practice and Fiveways Medical Centre (now Graceville Medical).

She has worked as a General Practitioner for many years at West End Medical.

Dr Jefferies enjoys the full range of medicine offered by general practice including women’s health, children’s health, and mental health. Above all, Dr Jefferies values the opportunity to provide compassionate care and to walk alongside her patients over many years.
Outside work, she loves spending time with her husband, two children and dog.
