Dr Anna Mowry is a general practitioner who values the opportunity to care for patients at every stage of life, from newborns to older adults, and every milestone in between.
She is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients, helping them navigate health concerns, and promoting better health outcomes through education and preventative care.
Dr Mowry holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Griffith University, graduating in 2018, and a Bachelor of Theatre Arts (BThA) with Distinction from the University of Southern Queensland, graduating in 2006.
Her medical training began with intern and junior house officer roles at Logan Hospital, followed by a senior house officer year at Mater Hospital South Brisbane. She completed her GP training in busy medical practices in Inala and Ipswich, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of clinical presentations.
She enjoys the diversity and challenge of general practice, and the privilege of being involved in her patients’ lives. With a strong foundation in preventative health and chronic disease management, Dr Mowry also has a particular interest in women’s health and paediatrics.
Growing up in a medical family, Dr Mowry was inspired from an early age by the meaningful connections and community contribution that a career in medicine offers. She brings this same sense of care and curiosity to her patients each day, finding fulfilment in the ever-changing, people-focused nature of her work.
Outside of the clinic, Dr Mowry enjoys spending time with her family, including her toddler and two energetic Border Collies, who ensure life is always active and full of fun.
