Language Inclusivity
We understand the importance of effective communication in healthcare. For patients who primarily do not speak English, we provide accessible information about our practice through translated materials and multilingual staff members. Additionally, for patients with language barriers or communication difficulties, we offer comprehensive translation services to ensure clear and accurate communication during appointments and interactions with our team. At Sinnamon Park Medical Centre, we prioritize inclusivity and strive to meet the diverse needs of all patients.
Providing Information for Non-English Speaking Patient
Our doctors are registered with TIS (Translating and Interpreting Services), and while we strive to arrange interpreters upon request, availability may vary. Additionally, our reception team can provide translation services for doctors’ timetables and information sheets using Microsoft Word. In terms of specialised language skills, Dr. Lam is fluent in Cantonese, and Dr. Ng can provide basic Mandarin communication.
Accessing Translation Services for Language Barriers
For hearing impaired patients, we utilise NABS (National Auslan Interpreter Booking Service). Additionally, our doctors are registered with TIS (Translating and Interpreting Services), allowing us to arrange interpreters upon request, though availability may vary.
