At Sinnamon Park Medical Centre, we give you access to experienced independent doctors who strive to provide you and your family with the best possible medical care.

We understand that visiting the doctor can be an uncomfortable experience for some. So, as well as giving you access to high quality and advanced medical services, all our staff and independent practitioners focus on creating a warm and friendly environment where you can feel comfortable to ask any questions and share any concerns.

Our doctors are all independent practitioners who work from our rooms with the help of our support staff and using our shared facilities. They include highly qualified male and female practitioners who come from a range of backgrounds and bring with them a diversity of skills and special interests. We also have registered nurses on staff who are available to triage any urgent matters. Our administration and support staff all have exceptional people skills and are trained to assist you with all medical and general enquiries.

As a group we value the patient-doctor relationship. Our staff and independent practitioners will treat you respectfully and always in the strictest confidence.

Appointments

A standard appointment is 10 to 15 minutes.

Longer consultations are available. Talk to our receptionists about what you require and they will ensure enough time is scheduled for your appointment.

Generally, longer appointments are needed for pap smears, surgical procedures, childhood immunisations, insurance medicals, yearly check-ups, four-year-old children check-ups, or just for an extended chat with your doctor.


Fees and Billing

Private fee charges apply to all consultations, including telephone/telehealth consultations. Fees are calculated according to Medicare requirements, doctor’s time and what services are provided. For more detailed information, please check with the receptionist when booking your appointment. EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities are available. Medicare rebates are also available to holders of a valid Medicare card, for services included in the Medicare Benefits Schedule. Visa/Mastercard details are taken at the time of booking a telephone/telehealth/car consult. Payment and Medicare rebates are processed once the consult is complete.


Communication

Reception staff are available to take phone calls during business hours, and endeavour to answer all calls as soon as possible. Our email address is reception@spmedical.com.au. Please note, however, that emails are only checked periodically and should not be used for urgent/patient matters. Patients are required to book appointments for referrals, script requests and results, these cannot be requested via email. We have a system to remind you of booked appointments and when you are due for routine health services (e.g. blood tests, cervical tests and skin checks). If you wish to change the way we communicate these reminders to you, or opt out, please speak with reception.


After Hours

This practice covers additional after hours by opening from 7am to 6pm (with the last appointment at 5.45pm) Monday to Friday, and 8am to 12noon on Saturday.

Our provider for after hour’s medical care is the National Home Doctor Service (13-SICK). They can be contacted on 13 74 25. If you have a medical emergency, please dial 000 or attend you nearest hospital.


Home Visits

If you are too sick to attend this surgery, a home visit may be available for you either by us or by the after-hours service. Private charges will apply. Please note that a distance over 10km will be referred to the after-hours service.

Our goal is to provide high quality medical care and service. If for some reason you are unhappy with our service, we welcome your feedback and the opportunity to remedy the situation, as well as improve for the future.
